Along with legendary designer and iconoclast Elsa Schiaparelli, Miuccia Prada will show in a joint retrospective at The Met’s Spring 2012 Costume Institute exhibition, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. The exhibition features orchestrated conversations between these iconic Italian designers to suggest new readings of their most innovative work. The show will run through August 19, 2012. Previously shown in Dallas Contemporary‘s largest space, one of Jennifer Rubell‘s Nutcrackers makes its way into Frieze Art Fair New York this year. A demonstration of the mannequin nutcracker, entitled ‘Lea L,’  can be seen at the jump by PAPER Magazine’s Gary Pini.

Anthony Spinello presents Perfect Lovers, a group exhibition at White Box, New York — a Frieze special project. Inspired by the writings of modern psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, Perfect Lovers investigates the realms of human relationships, mortality and time’s inevitable flow. The show includes work by Layet Johnson, Sinisa Kukec, Ruben Millares, Federico Nessi, Manny Prieres, Bert Rodriguez, Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova, Frances Trombly, Naama Tsabar, Agustina Woodgate and Antonia Wright.
